Sales Support Specialist
About the role
We are looking for an Associate Sales Support Specialist who will provide essential support to our sales efforts, collaborating with the sales and marketing teams and the pre-sales engineers to ensure effective communication of the features and benefits of our products and services.
Responsibilities
- Serving as a point of contact for sales support inquiries related to proposal requests for iMIS and other strategic products as required.
- Drafting and refining executive summaries, proposal narratives, and other documentation explaining our products and services, clearly articulating solution value, approach, and outcomes, effectively communicating solution features and benefits.
- Creat[ing] and maintaining RFP response templates and sales proposal templates for our Go-To-Market strategy and identified vertical markets, using our proposal creation software and other tools, and adhering to corporate branding requirements.
- Collaborating closely with the sales support team to assess client needs and system requirements, address client inquiries, and tailor proposals and presentations accordingly.
- Translating highly technical inputs into clear, structured, and client-ready proposal language while maintaining technical accuracy and consistency.
- Creating forms, templates, and processes using an advanced knowledge of Microsoft apps, including Word, Excel, Teams, and Microsoft Forms.
- Capturing reusable content and lessons learned from completed proposals to improve future response efficiency and quality, and continually exploring ways to streamline and further automate Sales Support processes to improve efficiency.
- Assembling proposal documents using proposal automation and document assembly tools (e.g., QorusDocs, advanced Word templates), ensuring correct content insertion and merge behavior, and conducting final proposal quality control.
- Supporting post-submission revisions, clarifications, and other responses as requested by prospective clients or sales leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field or relevant proposal management experience.
- 2+ years proven experience in sales support or marketing, with an understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
- Strong writing, proofreading, and editing skills, with advanced command of grammar and usage.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated experience in responding to proposals and RFPs.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay
Compensation for this position is determined based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, an individual’s skills, experience, training, certifications, education, geographic location, business needs, and internal equity. For candidates located in Alexandria, VA or Austin, TX, the current estimated compensation range for this role is $55,000- $60,000. Compensation may vary for candidates in other locations within the United States.
