Sales Specialist, Equipment

About the role
The Equipment Sales Specialist reports to the Divisional Director, Contract Sales and is located in Landover, MD. This is a full-time, hybrid position. You will drive sales and ensure exceptional customer service by addressing the service needs of contracted customers, including quoting equipment, coordinating deliveries and installations, and overseeing project management.
Responsibilities
- Promptly respond to customer requests via in-person interactions, phone calls, and emails, demonstrating superior customer service skills.
- Generate precise quotes for both standard and customized equipment, providing tailored solutions to meet customer needs.
- Support street sales representatives in the quoting process to drive sales growth.
- Process sales orders accurately and efficiently for multiple accounts.
- Place purchase orders with vendors for project and inventory items, ensuring timely delivery.
- Oversee projects from initiation to completion, ensuring goals and deadlines are met.
- Coordinate equipment deliveries and installations, collaborating with internal departments as necessary.
- Collaborate professionally with internal departments such as Credit, Customer Service, Purchasing, and Warehouse to meet customer needs.
- Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless operations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications are a plus, or equivalent military or practical experience.
- Working knowledge of the AutoQuotes system is preferred.
- Previous experience in equipment sales or related field is advantageous.
- Foodservice experience is essential.
- Ability to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptance.

Pay
Compensation includes a base salary range and does not reflect potential commission, incentive, bonus, or other additional compensation opportunities. Total compensation is determined based on experience, skills, internal equity, geographic location, and other job-related factors. Leadership positions may qualify for participation in bonus programs commensurate with role and scope of responsibility.
