Sales Specialist, Digital
About the role
The Digital Sales Specialist for Heidelberg’s Digital press business in the Central US region drives digital print equipment sales in both the commercial print and in-plant sectors. This role involves supporting the full line Heidelberg Account Manager sales team, collaborating with supplier sales forces, and executing sales support and marketing deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Drive digital equipment sales success through the region with direct support of the Account Managers on their sales prospects and actions to close the sale.
- Develop and manage the digital opportunity pipeline for the region to achieve or exceed budget sales goals.
- Track the opportunity pipeline through Heidelberg’s CRM, report in on the forecast on regular intervals, defined by Director and Regional VP.
- Develop and execute sales support and targeted marketing deliverables for the region to grow market awareness and opportunities.
- Work cooperatively with the full line Account Manager sales team on their digital sales opportunities, providing applications analysis, cost analysis, ROI presentations, demo support, quote development, and contract negotiation.
- Support each digital sales opportunity with Heidelberg’s digital press product lines, including Versafire digital presses and Jetfire Inkjet presses, and work with the demo team to prepare and demonstrate products.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers to promote Heidelberg’s digital press products and services.
- Manage customer satisfaction issues and escalate them to Heidelberg’s Digital Service team as necessary.
- Provide special applications support and customer consulting to assist the sales team with customer prospects and special equipment requests.
- Prepare quotes and support demonstrations at national, regional, and local shows and in the Kennesaw demonstration center.
- Collaborate with the Heidelberg Product Management Team on sales tools, sales training, and new product features for input into suppliers and Heidelberg Corporate.
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, along with 5 to 7 years of job-related work experience in sales or a related field. Strong understanding of digital press technologies, electrophotography, inkjet, and digital workflows. Excellent communication and presentation skills, as well as analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce CRM.
