About the Role

We are seeking a committed professional to join our Neuroscience team as a Sales Representative I, Pain Therapies. This is a remote, field-based role requiring residence within the territory and frequent travel to multiple accounts throughout the region. The successful candidate will be responsible for selling Medtronic Pain products, developing new business, and managing existing accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new sales by developing leads, recruiting new surgeons, qualifying prospects, and making sales calls.
  • Grow existing Pain business and develop new opportunities.
  • Work with minimal supervision to meet/exceed sales quotas.
  • Manage accounts in the assigned territory.
  • Implement approved marketing strategies.
  • Seek new customers and follow plans directed by the District Sales Manager.
  • Respond to customer complaints in accordance with Medtronic policy.
  • Stay informed about competitor products and practices.
  • Maintain up-to-date customer records and other required documentation.
  • Identify selling opportunities and collaborate with sales representatives to increase sales.
  • Complete required product and sales training.
  • Prepare and submit call reports as required.
  • Attend sales meetings, training programs, conventions, and trade shows.
  • Cooperate with all personnel on Company programs.
  • Create and implement an annual business plan with quarterly updates.
  • Provide service to customers based on their individual needs.
  • Adhere to company policies and conduct all business ethically.

Qualifications

Must Have:

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 4+ years of relevant sales, clinical, or related experience in medical device, Medtech, healthcare, or life sciences.
  • Or Associate's Degree and 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Or Bachelor's Degree.

Nice to Have:

  • Ortho, Spine, or O.R. experience.
  • Ability to sell in an environment where partnering with a surgeon is critical.
  • Experience selling new devices or procedures.
  • Thrive in an environment of variety and rapid growth/change.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of accountability.

Additional Must Haves:

  • Valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities including close and distance vision.
  • Frequent travel to customer clinics, hospitals, and offsite meetings.

Physical Job Requirements

  • Regularly required to sit, talk, hear, and be independently mobile.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, and use hands to handle objects.
  • Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms.

Pay

Salary ranges for U.S. (excl. PR) locations (USD): $45,000.00 - $45,000.00. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. This position is eligible for a Sales Incentive Plan (SIP).
