PURPOSE
To represent the Company for the purpose of selling Compact Construction Equipment to customers within the Burlington, NC metro market (focus on Durham, Burlington, Greensboro geographic area).
Basic Functions And Responsibilities
- Represents the Company for the sale of Compact Construction Machinery within local MSA.
- Production metrics include units sold, total sales volume, and Gross Margin Dollars.
- Serves as Account Manager for key Business to Business (B2B) customer accounts.
- Develops a deep understanding of each customer business, needs, challenges, and goals and work to develop solutions through unique combinations of Quality Equipment products and support.
- Documents key account activity in the Handle 2.0 CRM program.
- Prompts for new customers in local geographic area in customer segments including construction contractors (and other trades), governmental agencies, rental companies, and landscaping businesses.
- Maintains current on product knowledge, features and benefits of all equipment sold by Quality Equipment, LLC.
- Remains abreast of competitive activity, competitor’s products and aspects that will affect the products these customers will buy today and into the future.
- Maintains Company assets and other equipment (ex., vehicle, phone, computer) as assigned.
- Conducts product demonstrations at customer’s job site.
- Maintains in good, usable, and current condition (electronic and/or paper as directed) all manuals, price lists, and other documents given the individual by the Company.
- Accurately completes all documents related to sales transactions in a timely manner. This includes completing all required complete goods tickets, purchase orders, retail notes, customer down payments, etc., when completing a sale.
- After completing a sale, follows up with customer to make sure he/she is satisfied with the item and service provided by the dealership.
- Understands, supports, and promotes products and services from all departments of Quality Equipment (parts and service). This specifically includes coordinating between customer and the Parts/Service Managers at various Quality Equipment locations in support of larger customers who utilize multiple dealership locations.
Experience, Skills, And Knowledge Requirements
- Good understanding of local conditions with a knowledge of sale and resale values of machinery.
- Must be a self-starter with good communication and inter-personal skills.
- Positive attitude.
- Compact construction equipment experience or background preferred.
- Ability to drive, load and pull a trailer.
Physical Demands
- Noise Levels: Medium to High.
- Weight Requirements: Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Mobility: Squatting, bending, climbing, lifting, reaching, twisting, standing, sitting and repetitive keyboarding for long durations of time.
- Visual: Working with PC, online content, manuals and close detailed work.
- Dexterity: Ability to grasp and manipulate tools, equipment and machines.
