About the role
The Sales Representative plays a crucial role in expanding Norwood's reach across North America by connecting customers with the right equipment to support their sawmilling goals. This position requires strong relationship-building skills, a consultative sales approach, and the ability to manage a high-volume pipeline.
Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with prospective and existing customers
- Conduct high-volume outbound calling and proactive outreach
- Manage and actively engage a $1M–$3M sales pipeline
- Provide consultative guidance on Norwood products
- Follow structured sales processes and upsell opportunities
- Develop expert-level product knowledge
- Continuously improve through learning and hands-on experience
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent service
- Occasionally travel for training and events
Requirements
- Experience in sales (equipment or industrial preferred)
- Strong communication and relationship skills
- Self-motivated and competitive drive
- Technical aptitude and product learning ability
- CRM experience preferred
- Customer-focused, consultative mindset
- Able to manage high-volume workload
- Commitment to continuous learning
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of relevant sales experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
