Responsibilities

  • Develop new business and maintain existing customer relationships.
  • Achieve sales growth in-line with stated overall sales goals.
  • Analyze account base to identify opportunities and discuss product needs through a relationship-based selling approach.
  • Maintain account KPIs and use effective and current point-of-sale materials.
  • Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations to customers.
  • Work with national account team for program compliance.

Product & Industry Knowledge

  • Stay current and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of wine varietals and international wines in addition to all M.S. Walker products.
  • Educate customer and account staff on priority brands by administering educational staff training seminars.
  • Remain informed of company/supplier activities and updates by attending, and actively participating in, weekly sales meetings.

Collaboration & Team

  • Contribute to team effort in accomplishing goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to exchange information such as selling strategies or marketing information.
  • Work with management to achieve company objectives and individual goals.

Learn & Develop

  • Successfully engage in and complete a paid 2-4 week in-field training and immersion program to integrate and learn the MSW sales process and product offerings.
  • Engage in continuous self-education and professional development.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in fine wine wholesale, distribution, and/or importing with established client relationships.
  • Superior wine and spirits knowledge.
  • Effective self and time management skills.
  • Goal oriented, strong work ethic, positive mental attitude, and a team player.
  • Outstanding relationship building and selling skills.
  • Excellent organization, follow-up, and communication skills.
  • Ability to walk, sit, stand, reach overhead and lift up to 45lbs.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Pay Range

The salary is commission based with an annual estimated earnings range of $55,000-$95,000.
