About the role
ELS is the ideal organization for developing a long and successful career. This is not a traditional 9-5, desk job. Instead, you will develop and execute creative sales and marketing plans to drive business to the community.
Responsibilities
- Selling, processing, and closing homes in accordance with company business plans.
- Show homes and highlight their features and benefits.
- Approximately 85% of your time will be spent showing homes.
- Adhere to the company’s selling philosophy when serving customers, using all selling and organizational tools like accompanying them through model homes, undecorated models, and available homesites.
- Maintain records of all communication and provide timely and consistent follow-through with current customers from initial contact to after closing.
- Develop an in-depth knowledge of the competitive marketplace, including product, site, local community, sales, advertising, and demographics.
- Monitor and record daily customer traffic using company-designated tracking tools and send “Thank You” notes to all potential customers along with continued follow-up.
- Accurately and expertly handle administrative tasks, including creating sales agreements, calculating sales tax, running credit checks, and attending regular rally meetings to review sales and marketing strategies.
- Attend regional call campaigns and community events to build strong resident relations and generate sales through outreach and marketing initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Community Manager, Regional Sales Manager, and/or Regional Manager to develop community sales and marketing plans.
Requirements
- Strong customer service and sales skills with a proven track record of success.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to problem solve and be detail-oriented.
- Understand and follow company-established policies and procedures.
- Enjoy collaborating, being a team player with a strong work ethic, accepting constructive feedback, and following directions from a manager.
- Committed to self-development of sales, marketing, and technological advancements.
- Ability to use the Microsoft Office suite of products including Outlook and Excel.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

- Ability to work weekends on a regular basis.
- Strong math skills and the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and commissions.
