Sales Proposals Specialist
General Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Proposal Writer / RFP & RFI Specialist to support business growth by developing compelling, accurate, and customer-focused responses to Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Quotes (RFQs), and other customer inquiries. This role requires exceptional written communication skills, strong project coordination abilities, and proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Copilot, to efficiently manage proposal development from kickoff through submission. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who takes initiative, manages multiple priorities simultaneously, and collaborates effectively across sales, product, operations, engineering, and leadership teams to deliver high-quality proposals on time.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Review customer RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, and other RFx documents.
- Analyze requirements, submission instructions, evaluation criteria, and deadlines.
- Determine response strategy and identify risks, gaps, and compliance requirements.
- Write and edit customer-facing responses.
- Develop executive summaries, solution descriptions, value propositions, and differentiators.
- Translate technical, engineering, and product information into clear business language.
- Ensure messaging aligns with customer objectives and requirements.

Required Qualifications For Consideration
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a related field such as English, Marketing, Public Relations or Business Administration preferred.
- Preferably 5 years’ relevant work experience with a minimum of 2 years in a role working with or supporting PLM.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to articulate complex concepts to a broad range of internal and external audiences.
- Proven ability to effectively communicate with several types and levels of staff and external contacts, both in writing and verbally.
- Must have effective presentation skills.
- Ability to work simultaneously on many priorities, which change frequently.
- Assertive, persuasive and creative problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel up to 10% (including international travel).
Pay
Depending on experience, the range can be higher for candidates with exceptional experience and a demonstrated history of successful performance. The expected salary range for this position is $62,000-$78,000 annually.
