Sales Porter (Part-Time)

Mercedes-Benz of Lubbock, Texas, a Cavender Auto Family dealership, is seeking a talented Part-Time Sales Porter to join our team. Responsibilities

• Handle and drive all cars safely to protect dealership property and ensure damage prevention.
• Drive off-site to perform dealership tasks when necessary.
• Take detailed notes on vehicle conditions and movements.
• Compare serial numbers of incoming cars against invoices.
• Inspect vehicles to detect damage and verify the presence of accessories listed on the invoice (e.g., spare tires, radio, and stereo equipment).
• Record the description of damages and list missing items on the delivery receipt.
• Assign stock control numbers to cards.
• Catalog and store keys.
• Deliver sold vehicles to the new-vehicle preparation department.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Successfully complete MVR, background check, and pre-employment drug test.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to work unusual business hours, including holidays, weekends, and evenings.
• Positive attitude, high energy, and excellent communication and social skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend job-related instructions and information, whether electronic or paper-based.
• Ability to accommodate the physical requirements of the role: standing 6-8 hours per day, exposure to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, and a variety of hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
• This role will spend most of the time outdoors and be exposed to the elements.
