About the role
The Sales Outfitter plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers. This position involves greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and courteously, handling merchandise carefully, and providing necessary information and assistance.
Responsibilities
- Supports world-class customer service and provides a pleasant shopping experience.
- Demonstrates product knowledge to customers and replenishes merchandise as required.
- Maintains product expertise through ongoing training and remains informed about advertised sales and pricing.
- Aids in seasonal floor moves and restocks merchandise as needed.
- Ensures the work area is clean, organized, and well-stocked with supplies.
- Fulfills all company policies and procedures.
- Assists customers in making buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs, making product recommendations, and promoting programs like CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent experience.
- Ability to calculate discounts and make change.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and customers.
- Proficiency in operating a computerized POS register system.
Skills
- Customer service skills.
- Product knowledge and ability to recommend products.
- Computer literacy, particularly with POS systems.
- Physical stamina for standing and walking throughout shifts.
