Sales Outfitter - Firearms

About the role

Responsible for Counter Sales and Customer Service for Firearms and Floor and Counter Sales of Hunting Merchandise. Performs selling and customer service activities including greeting and acknowledging customers, handling merchandise, and providing information and assistance.

Responsibilities

• Provide legendary customer experience by assisting customers in buying decisions, identifying and evaluating needs, and making product recommendations.
• Promote programs including CLUB membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick Up.
• Accurately complete ATF Form 4473.
• Demonstrate products to customers.
• Organize and maintain merchandise at the gun counter and replenish shelves per merchandising guidelines.
• Remain a product expert through ongoing training.
• Maintain knowledge of advertised sales, pricing, and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and well-stocked.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of retail experience.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability

• Product knowledge of firearms and ammunition.
• Knowledge of ATF federal and state regulations.
• Customer service and sales of firearms and ammunition.
• Ability to merchandise and stock merchandise.

Physical Requirements

• Constantly stand and/or walk during shift.
• Occasionally ascend or descend ladders, stairs, ramps, etc.
• Constantly communicate with others to exchange information.
• Occasionally repeat motions involving wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• Occasionally operate machinery and/or power tools.
• Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds constantly; may occasionally lift up to 100 pounds or more with team assistance.
• Occasionally work in tight and confined spaces and noisy environments.

Pay

Starting pay rate: $18.00 – $20.75 per hour.
