About the role
This is a hybrid role requiring presence at the Worcester, MA location 2-3 days a week. The S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) Manager bridges demand, supply, and finance, ensuring monthly plans align with company goals. This role leads cross-functional meetings, optimizes inventory and production strategies, and uses data analytics to drive decisions that enhance profitability. Responsibilities include balancing demand forecasting with capacity, managing stakeholders, and improving supply chain efficiency.
In addition to developing Sales and Operations strategies, this position drives the execution of these plans. Common tasks include placing and tracking key raw material orders, managing vendor order levels to optimize cost and inventory, gathering and summarizing sales forecasts, modeling and projecting supply/demand for production and capacity planning, and developing strategies to improve efficiency, reduce cost, and mitigate risk.
Responsibilities
- Lead monthly S&OP cycles, including demand review, supply review, and executive meetings to drive consensus.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to analyze demand trends, promotions, and new product launches to create a unified forecast.
- Coordinate with manufacturing and logistics to ensure production capacity meets demand while optimizing safety stocks.
- Develop, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to align operational plans with financial targets.
- Identify and resolve supply-demand gaps and bottlenecks, presenting scenarios for executive decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field. Master's Degree is a plus.
- 3-5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Demand Planning, or Production Planning.
- 1-3 years of experience in an Industrial or Manufacturing setting.
- Strong ability to interpret data, build statistical models, and use forecasting tools.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QAD) and Advanced Planning Systems (APS).
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams (Sales, Finance, Operations) and senior leadership.
Pay
The national pay range for this position is $102,000.00 to $158,000.00 per year. The base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus with a targeted amount of 13% of base salary based on company and individual performance. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position is $115,200.00 to $178,500.00. Bonus payments are variable and not guaranteed.
