Sales Operations Leader – Private Label

Products are marketed and distributed across all U.S. retail channels, including grocery stores, club stores, mass-merchandisers, foodservice, export, U.S. military, and private label business.
Responsibilities
- Lead execution of the private label strategy by coordinating all internal functions required to bring products to market (Sales, Commercialization, Supply Chain, Finance, Customer Service, Logistics).
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers on private label initiatives, including RFPs, new product proposals, and new item setup.
- Own communication between the Commercialization team and customers for new private label items, from initial proposal through first shipment.
- Lead the trade spend management process: set up and manage promotions, validate and clear deductions, and ensure sales forecasts reflect current trade activity in the trade management system.
- Own the forecasting process: build and update customer forecasts using customer reports, shipment history, and consumption data; provide timely updates to Supply Planning and Production teams.
- Partner with customers during Fall Bake and other key seasons on production scheduling, forecasting, and inventory management, focusing on maximizing sales while minimizing freight and warehousing costs.
- Develop and maintain sales reporting (e.g., Power BI dashboards and reports) and distribute timely insights to key business stakeholders.
- Lead the annual budget development for the Private Label business, reconciling top-down management targets with bottom-up customer/SKU forecasts.
- Co-lead Private Label P&L oversight with the Sales Director and Finance/Commercialization teams, including customer pricing reviews, SKU rationalization, and customer/SKU level profitability analysis.
- Facilitate day-to-day communication between customers, internal departments, and brokers regarding pricing, service levels, orders, shipments, and payment reconciliation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or similar experience required.
- 1+ years of experience within a CPG organization.
- Experience in sales, sales operations, customer service, or customer-facing roles preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of finance, shipment, and consumption data and how they interrelate.
- Demonstrated excellence in organization, collaboration, multi-tasking, and driving results in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment
This is an office-based role with regular interaction across departments and with external customers and brokers. The position is designated as remote with some travel included (10-25%). Candidates must have a reliable internet connection and a dedicated workspace that supports productivity and confidentiality. Additional equipment may be required to follow all safety rules and procedures.
