The SMART (Sales Marketing Advanced Resource Training) Program is a paid, full-time opportunity designed to equip participants with a comprehensive skill set and prepare them for successful careers in sales.
Responsibilities
- Undergo a three-month curriculum focusing on classroom training and practical skills development.
- Engage in hands-on application and office responsibilities, gaining exposure to various internal departments such as Originations, Sales, Business Development, and Marketing.
- Participate in cross-functional activities to understand Westlake's operations and foster collaborative relationships.
- Develop a strong foundation in sales strategies and product knowledge.
- Build a robust network of contacts and develop negotiation and presentation skills.
Requirements
- A keen interest in a fast-paced sales environment and an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Results-driven mindset, competitive nature, and proficiency in negotiation and presentation skills.
- An aptitude for effectively showcasing Westlake's comprehensive suite of products and services.
- Preferably four-year college degree or better from an accredited university, with relevant closely related majors.
- Experience in marketing or sales is recommended but not required.
- Preferred candidates should have intern experience, extracurricular activities, and athletic involvement.

Pay
The SMART Program offers a self-determined, performance-based compensation package with an 8-month compensation guarantee of $5,000 per month. Starting compensation is determined based on various factors, including geographic location, skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure when applicable. The target first year income ranges from $55,000 to $130,000, with average rep earnings after one year averaging $160,000 and the top 50 reps earning an average of $305,000.
