About the role
The SMART (Sales Marketing Advanced Resource Training) Program is a paid, full-time entrepreneurial opportunity offered by Westlake Financial. It is designed to equip participants with a diverse skill set encompassing underwriting, marketing, and sales, all within a dynamic, real-world environment.
Responsibilities
- Undergo a comprehensive business skills training regime, including classroom instruction and hands-on application.
- Engage in cross-functional exposure with internal departments such as Originations, Sales, Business Development, and Marketing.
- Participate in a three-month curriculum focused on classroom training and practical skills development.
- Gain experience in boosting sales figures and making a tangible impact on sales performance.
- Interact actively with various internal departments and in-person with employees.
Requirements
- Education: Four Year college degree or better from an accredited university, preferably in a relevant closely related major.
- Marketing/Sales experience recommended but not required. Intern experience, extracurricular activities, and athletics preferred.
- Equivalent: Work experience.

Pay
Compensation: Target first year income ranges from $55,000.00 to $130,000.00, with a self-determined, performance-based compensation package. The position is hourly, with a base rate of $18.47/hr and performance-based commissions and bonuses. There is an 8-month compensation guarantee of $5,000.00 monthly, with a guaranteed minimum of $54,000.00 in the first year. The average rep earnings after 1 year are $160,000.00, and the average earnings of the top 25% reps are $245,000.00. The average earnings of the top 50 reps are $305,000.00.
