About the role
The SMART Program is a paid, full-time entrepreneurial opportunity offered by Westlake Financial. It is designed to equip participants with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in sales positions, particularly in the auto finance sector.
Responsibilities
- Undergo a comprehensive three-month curriculum centered around classroom training and practical skills development.
- Engage in hands-on application and office responsibilities to develop a diverse skill set encompassing underwriting, marketing, and sales.
- Participate in cross-functional interactions with departments such as Originations, Sales, Business Development, and Marketing to gain a broader understanding of Westlake's operations.
- Work in a fast-paced sales environment and actively engage in in-person interactions, employee collaboration, and synergy with various departments.
Requirements
- Education: A four-year college degree or higher from an accredited university, preferably in a relevant closely related major.
- Marketing or Sales experience is recommended but not required. Prior internships, extracurricular activities, and athletic involvement are preferred.

Pay
The SMART Program offers a self-determined, performance-based compensation package. Hourly pay starts at $18.47/hr, with performance-based commissions and bonuses. There is an 8-month compensation guarantee of $5,000.00 monthly, with a guaranteed minimum of $54,000.00 in the first year. The average earnings of top performers range from $160,000.00 to $305,000.00.
Schedule
The SMART Program is a full-time, paid opportunity. Participants commit to a rigorous training schedule and ongoing performance evaluations.
