Full-time position at Holt Industrial Rentals (HIR) located in SA-Cibolo.
About the role
Lead a sales territory team for Holt Industrial Rentals, ensuring maximum profitability, driving market penetration, and creating long-term customer relationships. This role involves strategic execution of sales and revenue targets, team leadership, and alignment with company values and mission.
Responsibilities
- Hire, develop, evaluate, and influence effective team productivity to deliver Legendary Customer Service (LCS).
- Model, promote, and reinforce Holt’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools and processes.
- Set individual revenue targets and drive execution while ensuring profitability.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Business Development Managers to target key industries for growth.
- Maintain market awareness, including economic, environmental, and competitive trends.
- Enforce standards, monitor pricing, execute objectives, and hold the team accountable for performance.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and sales processes.
- Drive functional sales initiatives and campaigns in partnership with Marketing and division VP.
- Support team performance through coaching, Values Based Leadership, and employee development.
- Execute strategic plans to drive market and customer penetration.
- Create and maintain relationships with key customers; ensure timely follow-up.
- Analyze and report sales activity in relation to revenue goals and strategic success.
- Monitor and evaluate competitive activities and products.
- Control financial and physical equipment needs and resources.
- Meet regularly with customers to support business development and market growth.
- Work safely and adhere to all safety policies; comply with company standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, Marketing, or equivalent combination of experience and education (strongly preferred).
- Minimum eight years of applicable experience; ten or more years preferred.
- Proven experience leading and managing a remote sales team, including setting, measuring, and tracking sales performance.
Skills
- Knowledge of Power Rental business and management principles (strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership).
- Technical aptitude in electrical power generation and compressed air systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access).
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local emissions and fire protection regulations.
- Understanding of accounting principles, practices, and methods.
- Exceptional business acumen with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with Holt Commercial Engine Sales operations and Dealer Business System (DBS).
- Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills.

Supervisory Responsibilities
- Direct and manage positions within the Holt Industrial Rental Sales team.
- Interview, hire, and train employees; plan, assign, and direct work.
- Provide coaching, development, and performance appraisals.
- Address complaints and resolve problems; reward and discipline employees.
Travel
Extensive travel within territory (70% – 85%). Valid driver’s license required.
Physical Requirements
- Extended periods in a stationary position; occasional movement within the office.
- Frequent communication with others to exchange accurate information.
- Routine use of standard office equipment (computers, phones, photocopiers, etc.).
- Ability to move objects up to 30 pounds using abdominal and lower back muscles.
- Constant movement and use of limbs; good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.
- Ascend and descend ladders using both hands and feet.
- Safely maneuver and work underneath equipment.
- React to visual, auditory, and other signals, including alarms and instructions.
- Safety training and PPE required outside of office/parking lot area.
Work Environment
- Primarily in a professional office environment.
- Occasional outdoor work with exposure to weather extremes (heat, cold, humidity).
- Noise levels may be loud at times.
- Exposure to small quantities of chemicals, steam, high-pressure water, and high-speed rotating equipment.
- Occasional work in confined spaces and at heights.
- Fast-paced environment with unscheduled interruptions.
