Sales Manager, Corporate & Business Travel
About the role
The Sales Manager, Corporate & Business Travel, is responsible for developing and growing revenue from corporate transient accounts while identifying opportunities for small corporate meetings, executive retreats, and business gatherings. This role will focus primarily on business travel (BT) sales while maximizing opportunities across guestrooms, meeting space, and food and beverage revenue. The ideal candidate is a strategic sales professional with strong local market knowledge, exceptional relationship-building skills, and a passion for delivering luxury experiences to sophisticated clientele. This position serves as a key ambassador of the InterContinental brand and plays an integral role in positioning the hotel as Bellevue’s preferred luxury destination for corporate travelers and executive meetings.
Responsibilities
- Corporate Account Development
- Prospect, solicit, negotiate, and secure new corporate transient accounts.
- Maintain and expand relationships with existing local, regional, national, and global corporate clients.
- Develop strategic account plans that drive room night production and market share growth.
- Conduct regular client meetings, site tours, presentations, and sales calls.
- Analyze production reports and market trends to identify new business opportunities.
- Small Meetings & Corporate Events
- Drive revenue from executive meetings, board retreats, training sessions, interviews, and small corporate gatherings.
- Identify opportunities within existing transient accounts to capture meeting and event business.
- Partner with Event Planning and Operations teams to deliver seamless client experiences.
- Conduct site inspections showcasing guest rooms, meeting venues, dining experiences, and hotel amenities.
- Market Leadership
- Represent the hotel at industry events, networking functions, trade shows, and local business organizations.
- Maintain a strong presence within the Bellevue, Seattle, and Eastside business communities.
- Stay informed on market trends, competitive intelligence, and emerging corporate travel patterns.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of hotel sales experience, preferably in corporate transient or business travel sales.
- Proven success in prospecting, negotiating, and closing new business.
- Strong understanding of corporate travel programs and account management.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative sales culture.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and hotel sales platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Luxury hotel sales experience.
- Existing relationships within the Seattle/Bellevue corporate community.
- Experience selling both transient and small meetings business.
- Knowledge of Delphi, Salesforce, or related sales systems.

Compensation
$85,000 – $92,000
