Summary Are you interested in building a career in automotive sales and developing the skills needed to become a future leader? Bergey’s Chevrolet is looking for a motivated and driven Sales Consultant who is interested in a career path with the potential to grow into a Sales Management role. This position is designed for someone who wants to build a strong foundation in vehicle sales while gaining exposure to the skills and responsibilities required for dealership leadership. The successful candidate will focus on achieving individual sales and customer satisfaction goals while learning the sales process, dealership operations, customer relationship management, and leadership skills necessary to advance their career. As you demonstrate success in the role, you will have opportunities to take on additional responsibilities, learn from dealership leadership, and continue developing toward future advancement opportunities. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Sales & Customer Experience Approaches, greets, and offers assistance to customers entering the dealership showroom and sales lot.Assists customers in selecting a vehicle by asking questions and listening carefully to their needs.Explains vehicle performance, features, applications, and benefits to customers.Describes optional equipment and available products.Offers and conducts test drives while following dealership procedures.Satisfies the transportation needs of vehicle purchasers while delivering an exceptional customer experience.Maintains an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfaction.Maintains an active prospect development system to generate new business.Writes complete sales orders and processes paperwork in accordance with dealership policies.Utilizes dealership sales control, CRM, and follow-up systems effectively.Meets established sales volume, gross profit, and customer satisfaction goals. Leadership & Career Development Demonstrates a strong interest in developing toward a future Sales Management role.Learns and understands dealership sales processes, policies, procedures, and performance expectations.Works closely with and learns from Sales Managers and dealership leadership.Develops an understanding of key dealership performance metrics, including sales volume, gross profit, customer satisfaction, lead conversion, and follow-up.Gains exposure to the responsibilities involved in managing and supporting a sales team.Develops strong communication, problem-solving, organization, and leadership skills.Takes initiative and seeks opportunities to improve processes and contribute to team success.Learns how to effectively handle customer concerns and support positive resolutions.Demonstrates the ability to lead by example through professionalism, accountability, and a strong work ethic.Participates in product, sales, leadership, and other training opportunities as assigned.Keeps up to date on new products, services, industry trends, and dealership initiatives.Demonstrates the ability and desire to take on increasing responsibility as skills and performance develop. Qualifications The ideal candidate is motivated by more than just making a sale—they are interested in building a long-term career and growing into a leadership position.
