About the role
The Sales Manager of Account Management at ADDMAN Polymer leads and develops an account management team, focusing on driving revenue growth and expanding strategic partnerships across various markets.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Account Managers, driving accountability, performance, and professional growth.
- Oversee and grow a portfolio of strategic customer accounts, serving as the senior commercial point of contact when needed.
- Drive revenue growth by identifying, developing, and closing opportunities to expand services, capabilities, and programs within existing accounts.
- Establish and execute account strategies, including revenue targets, pipeline development, and long-term growth plans.
- Build and maintain executive-level customer relationships to strengthen partnerships and increase share of wallet.
- Partner closely with Program Managers and internal teams to ensure successful program execution and high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Guide the development of proposals, pricing strategies, and commercial terms in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Monitor and report on sales performance, pipeline health, bookings, and key account metrics.
- Support complex contract negotiations, scope changes, and commercial escalations.
- Champion the voice of the customer internally, driving continuous improvement and alignment with market needs.
Qualifications
- Proven ability to lead and scale an account management or customer-facing sales team.
- Strong track record of growing existing accounts and driving revenue through relationship-based selling.
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and team development capabilities.
- Strong presence with the ability to influence both customers and internal stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, preferably additive manufacturing.
- Ability to translate customer needs into actionable business opportunities and solutions.
- Strong business acumen, including pricing strategy, margin management, and negotiation.
- Highest level of collaboration, with the ability to align cross-functional teams around customer and business objectives.
- Results-driven mindset with high levels of ownership, integrity, and accountability.
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in account management, sales, or business development within manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or related industries.
- Minimum 5+ prior experience leading or managing Account Managers or sales teams required.
- Preferred 5+ years’ experience in the Additive Manufacturing Industry.
- Demonstrated success in growing and retaining key customer accounts.
- Familiarity with AS9100 quality systems and ITAR compliance preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with CRM systems preferred.
