Sales Lead (Part-time)-Newbury Park

About The Role

The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) seeks to assist men and women in their rehabilitation journey. The organization values its employees' contributions and relies on their diligence and devotion.

Responsibilities

• Taking an active role and partnering with the Store Manager in the day-to-day operation of the store.
• Assuming responsibility for all day-to-day store operations in the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Manager.
• Providing coaching, training, and development to the Store Employees.
• Maintaining good Customer/Donor/Community relations; resolving complaints; ensuring quick and efficient service.
• Communicating personnel issues with the District Sales Manager in the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Manager.
• Cooking daily morning and shift change team meetings in the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Manager.
• Ensuring the store is maintained and adequate inventory levels are maintained.
• Completing Rag Out from the sales floor and ensuring timely completion.
• Ensuring Material Handlers are working effectively and efficiently to meet daily processing goals.
• Ensuring Donation Attendants are working effectively and efficiently as outlined in the Donation Attendant Job Description.
• Managing cash in registers, banking of cash receipts, and implementing appropriate loss prevention measures.
• Performing other written and/or verbal duties as assigned by Management.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of one year of previous retail experience and supervisory experience preferred.
• Pass a background check, which includes a Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Effective communication skills with management, store employees, customers, and donors.

Physical Demands

• Sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
• Grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, clothing carts, merchandise carts, rolling clothing racks, fixtures, furniture dollies, platform trucks and carts, hand trucks, and miscellaneous carts.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Perform various repetitive motion tasks.

Schedule

Stores operate 7 days per week. Work schedules are determined by Management and employees must be flexible to ensure adequate store coverage. Part-time employees may be scheduled to work any shift, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
