Sales Lead (Part-time)-Granada Hills

About The Role

The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) is seeking a Part-time Sales Lead to join our dedicated Retail Team. The position offers opportunities for career growth and benefits, including paid time off, employee discounts, and AFLAC.

Responsibilities

• Taking an active role and partnering with the Store Manager in the day-to-day operation of the store.
• Assuming responsibility for all day-to-day store operations in the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Manager.
• Providing coaching, training, and development to the Store Employees.
• Maintaining good Customer/Donor/Community relations; resolving complaints; ensuring quick and efficient service.
• Communicating personnel issues with the District Sales Manager in the absence of the Store Manager and Store Assistant Manager.
• Cooking daily morning and shift change team meetings in the absence of the Store Manager and Store Assistant Manager.
• Ensuring the store is maintained and adequate inventory levels are maintained.
• Completing Rag Out from the sales floor and ensuring timely completion.
• Implementing appropriate loss prevention measures as directed.
• Ensuring effective and efficient operation of Donation Attendants.
• Managing cash transactions, safeguarding cash in registers, and banking cash receipts according to ARCC policy.
• Performing other duties as assigned by Management.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of one year previous retail experience and supervisory experience preferred.
• Pass a background check, which includes a Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Effective communication skills with management, store employees, customers, and donors.

Physical Demands

• Sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
• Grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, clothing carts, merchandise carts, rolling clothing racks, fixtures, furniture dollies, platform trucks and carts, hand trucks, and miscellaneous carts.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Perform various repetitive motion tasks.

Schedule

Stores operate 7 days per week. Work schedules are determined by Management and employees must be flexible to ensure adequate store coverage. Part-time employees may be scheduled to work any shift, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
