About the Role
The Visionworks Sr. Optical Specialist‑Lead/Sales Lead is the face of the business, guiding patients through the Visionworks experience and ensuring their eyewear needs are met in a simple, human, and bold way. This role involves training on optics, product knowledge, and managed vision care, and includes responsibilities such as opening and closing the store for lead positions.
Responsibilities
- Deliver daily sales goals by executing the Customer/Patient Experience journey.
- Engage with patients/customers and recommend products and services that meet eye‑care needs.
- Measure patients/customers for eyewear and maintain product/optical knowledge through continuous training.
- Ensure eyewear is “Right the First Time” and troubleshoot issues as necessary.
- Execute day‑to‑day operational activities to support the store’s financial and customer‑experience goals, including opening and closing the store (lead positions only).
Qualifications
- 12 months optical experience (within Visionworks or another organization) or ABO Certification in lieu of experience.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent related job experience.
- Maintain optician license requirements per state guidelines, as needed.

Pay
Part‑time: $13.70 – $18.47 per hour (actual pay determined by experience and job‑related factors; may include bonuses, equity, and commissions).
