About the Role

A Visionworks Sr. Optical Specialist-Lead/Sales Lead is the face of our business, dedicated to ensuring the best possible journey for every patient and customer. This role requires training and knowledge in optics, our products/services, and managed vision care. The Sr. Optical Specialist personally guides patients/customers through the Visionworks experience, meeting their eyewear needs in a simple, human, and bold way.

A Senior Optical Specialist has at least 12 months of prior optical industry experience and maintains any required state licensing to dispense eyewear where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver daily sales goals by ensuring the best execution of the Customer/Patient Experience journey.
• Engage with patients/customers and recommend products and services that meet their eye care needs.
• Measure patients/customers for eyewear and maintain product/optical knowledge through continuous training to ensure eyewear is "Right the First Time."
• Troubleshoot eyewear needs as necessary.
• Execute day-to-day operational activities to support the store's financial and customer experience goals, including opening and closing the store (Lead positions only).

Requirements

• 12 months of optical experience (within Visionworks or another organization) or ABO Certification in lieu of experience.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent related job experience.
• Maintain Optician License requirements per state guidelines, as needed.

Pay

$11.86 - $16.01 per hour.

Compensation range for this role is listed above. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. This role may also include eligible bonuses, equity, and commissions as part of the compensation package.
