About the role
We are in search of a part-time Sales Lead to contribute to our continuous expansion across the United States. This person will be responsible for store opening and closing operations, ensuring all store processes run as expected, and providing a great in-store experience. The position reports to and receives functional guidance from the Store Manager.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the sales floor of Pop Mart employees, setting expectations, goals, and motivating the team
- Act as the leader on duty in the store when the Store Manager/Assistant Store Manager are not present, focused on delivering results while enabling a positive customer and employee experience
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment for customers, employees, and products
- Lead the store to meet standards that reflect the company’s brand image, values, and culture
- Serve as a subject matter expert on POP MART core business information, including characters, products, and company history
- Support company marketing events such as in-store events, pop-up events, conventions, and new store openings
- Support the RoboShop business as needed and follow up with in-store RoboShop employees and business partners
- Improve sales performance and meet key performance indicators such as store conversion, units per transaction, dollars per transaction, and store sales trends
- Drive sales of company key products such as Blind boxes, MEGA, and accessories
- Execute Visual Merchandising and Marketing directives from business partners, including attending weekly calls, installing marketing decals, props, and setting up new merchandising planograms
- Remerchandise the sales floor based on product sell-through or slow-moving inventory, making strategic decisions aligned with business needs
- Work closely with the Inventory Assistant Store Manager to determine back-of-house and warehouse inventory levels
- Handle back-of-house organization, inventory management, receiving/transferring of goods, and weekly/quarterly inventory auditing
Requirements
- Retail industry knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Confident and comfortable engaging customers to deliver a great customer experience
- More than 1 year of retail store experience; supervisor or leader experience preferred
- High level of ethics, values, integrity, and trust
- Experience working independently in an ambiguous environment with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions and implement effective solutions
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and implement new standardization directives
- High School Diploma
- Must be 18 years old or older
Physical Requirements
- Ability to regularly lift, carry, and move merchandise and supplies up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 6-8 hours per shift)
- Ability to bend, kneel, reach, and climb ladders or step stools safely
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as unpacking boxes, tagging items, and stocking shelves
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment that may require quick movements and multitasking
- Ability to work in varying temperature conditions, including stockroom and receiving areas
- Manual dexterity required to operate standard stockroom tools (e.g., box cutters)
