About the role
David Zwirner is seeking a motivated and personable Sales Intern to support the Sales Team in New York. This position offers an excellent opportunity for candidates to gain hands-on experience in the day-to-day operations of a leading contemporary art gallery.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and project support to the Front Desk and larger Sales Team.
- Aid with exhibition-related tasks, including:
- Support gallery openings and events.
- Act as a gallery attendant, ensuring the security and presentation of artwork.
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource for the public, answering questions about current exhibitions and the gallery's programming.
- Support the shipping, receiving, and distribution of mail and packages for the Tribeca location.
- Prepare materials for client viewings and assist with client book mailings as requested.
- Maintain and update internal resource documents.
- Routinely restock supplies, including staff kitchens.
- Ensure the pristine appearance of workstations.
Requirements
- A highly personable, focused, and hardworking nature.
- A detail-oriented eye for the aesthetic needs of an efficient, organized, elevated office space.
- The ability to exercise diligence, be extremely organized, and possess a strong sense of time management.
- A positive, helpful, team player attitude.
- A strong interest in the rapidly evolving marketing landscape of the art world.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a customer service or sales environment is preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Benefits
- Paid hourly rate of $17/hour.
- Full-time commitment required from September 8th - December 18th, 2026.
- Part-time commitment from December 8th - 18th, 2026.
- Interns are eligible for a well-rounded and educational experience.
Pay
- $17/hour.
Schedule
- Tuesday-Saturday: 10AM – 6PM.
- Additional hours for occasional evening events.
- Switches to part-time (3.5 days a week or less) from December 8th to the 18th.
