Sales Intern (Tribeca)

About the role

David Zwirner is seeking a motivated and personable Sales Intern to support the Sales Team in New York. This position offers an excellent opportunity for candidates to gain hands-on experience in the day-to-day operations of a leading contemporary art gallery.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and project support to the Front Desk and larger Sales Team.
• Aid with exhibition-related tasks, including:
• Support gallery openings and events.
• Act as a gallery attendant, ensuring the security and presentation of artwork.
• Serve as a knowledgeable resource for the public, answering questions about current exhibitions and the gallery's programming.
• Support the shipping, receiving, and distribution of mail and packages for the Tribeca location.
• Prepare materials for client viewings and assist with client book mailings as requested.
• Maintain and update internal resource documents.
• Routinely restock supplies, including staff kitchens.
• Ensure the pristine appearance of workstations.

• A highly personable, focused, and hardworking nature.
• A detail-oriented eye for the aesthetic needs of an efficient, organized, elevated office space.
• The ability to exercise diligence, be extremely organized, and possess a strong sense of time management.
• A positive, helpful, team player attitude.
• A strong interest in the rapidly evolving marketing landscape of the art world.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a customer service or sales environment is preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Benefits

• Paid hourly rate of $17/hour.
• Full-time commitment required from September 8th - December 18th, 2026.
• Part-time commitment from December 8th - 18th, 2026.
• Interns are eligible for a well-rounded and educational experience.

Pay

• $17/hour.

Schedule

• Tuesday-Saturday: 10AM – 6PM.
• Additional hours for occasional evening events.
• Switches to part-time (3.5 days a week or less) from December 8th to the 18th.
