Requirements
- Define and document business processes and solution requirements through collaborative stakeholder engagement.
- Drive the project execution according to the defined requirements.
- Produce functional and non-functional requirements and end user product documentation.
- Interpret business requirements and translate these into viable solutions with tangible business benefits.
- Support development and testing during the build and test phases.
- Write test scripts and carry out user acceptance testing, on-going management and maintenance of business systems including end user support.
- Identify new opportunities for technology.
- Analyse and document existing business processes with a view of streamlining and introducing efficiencies via structured change management and software enhancement.
- Assist in the information and requirements gathering process, reconciling conflicts, de-composing high-level information into detail, abstracting up from low-level information to a general understanding.
- Distinguish user requests from underlying true business needs.
- Draft, finalise and support the sign off of functional specifications.
- Facilitate workshops to support the functional specification process.
- Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans.
- Advising on potential improvements to business processes.
- Development of use cases and functional requirements documentation where new software solutions are to be developed.
- Collaborating with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision for the project.
- Data Analysis, Data Mapping and Data Migration.
- Support change control and change management processes.
- Advise on trade-offs between requirement value and development effort.
Qualifications
- Experience of 5+ years working as a business analyst.
- Experience with delivering technical solutions relating to big data.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a changing and challenging environment with a record of producing high quality business analysis documentation.
- Knowledge of all phases of the development lifecycle.
- Motivated self-starter who can work in a team environment.
- 3rd level qualification (preferably IT related).

- Excellent communication, listening and writing skills in English.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to plan and track activities/tasks.
- Ability to work to complete work to schedule and to multi-task.
- Experience of implementation and rollout to critical systems.
- Ability to clearly communicate ideas to both technical stakeholders and business end users.
