About the role

You will report to the Director, Sales Operations, Poultry NA. As a Sales Engineer, you are part of the sales back-office team responsible for providing accurate sales quotations and sales orders. You will challenge input from the sales front-office team, act as the gatekeeper for data flowing into the technical and innovation process, and demonstrate a customer-centric approach. This is a hybrid role based in Gainesville, GA, with up to 10% travel.

Responsibilities

  • Translate technical, technological, and commercial information into accurate quotes and order confirmations.
  • Work in compliance with the internal sales process from market to order and order to cash, including change orders.
  • Challenge and support the input from the front-office sales team, ensuring process adherence.
  • Monitor preliminary costing and pre-calculated project margins.
  • Provide input on layout designs and maintain frequent contact with internal departments, such as engineering and product/process specialists.
  • Prepare quotations, order confirmations, documentation, and invoicing where applicable.
  • Coordinate technical and/or food technological risks for non-standard solutions.
  • Ensure accuracy of data in the Company CRM systems (as defined for the Sales Engineer role).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Food Technology (preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a technological role within the food industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to learn other applications as needed.
  • Strong English skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience working in a multi-cultural, multi-discipline environment.
  • Ability to work well with diverse teams and demonstrate excellent leadership skills.
