Position Summary
We are seeking a Sales Engineer who thrives at the intersection of technology, manufacturing, and customer relationships. This role is designed as a leadership pipeline position with the opportunity to develop into Sales Manager as part of a planned succession over the next several years.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as a technical sales partner to customers by understanding their engineering challenges and identifying manufacturing solutions

- Support and collaborate with the current Sales Manager while developing commercial leadership capabilities
- Develop new business opportunities with OEMs, prime contractors, and Tier-1 suppliers
- Engage with customer engineering teams early in the product design process to identify manufacturability improvements
- Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and program strategies in collaboration with internal teams
- Represent Precision Resource at trade shows, industry conferences, and customer meetings
- Coincide closely with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to ensure successful program execution
- Travel approximately 35–45% to support customer engagement and industry events
What We’re Looking For
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, Economics, or a related field is preferred. Candidates with strong manufacturing experience who are looking to transition into technical sales are also encouraged to apply.
- Experience in aerospace, defense, precision machining, additive manufacturing, or advanced metal manufacturing environments
- Strong ability to communicate technical concepts to both engineering and business audiences
- Comfortable engaging with engineers, procurement teams, and executive decision makers
- Motivated to develop into a commercial leader within a manufacturing organization
- Willingness to travel across the United States for customer engagement and industry events
