Sales Engineer II
About the Role
As a Sales Engineer II for PCB/Endevco, your primary objective is to generate revenue opportunities and cultivate new and long-term relationships with customers by developing PCB's key TEST markets in a large and technically demanding region, with a strong focus on Aerospace & Defense. Other markets include general Test (e.g., consumer products, test labs) and Automotive.
Responsibilities
- Develops and grows assigned territory, schedules visits with customers.
- Responds to a high volume of email and phone customer inquiries.
- Coordinates with assigned Inside Sales team member and Application Engineer.
- Takes complete ownership of all quotations and leads with routine documented follow-ups, focusing on closing business, securing visits, and total customer satisfaction.
- Develops sales plan for assigned territory, supports forecasting efforts, and participates in sales meetings.
- Responds to technical customer inquiries, product availability, delivery, repairs, and calibrations.
- Performs equipment demonstrations and trains customers on proper use.
- Coordinates with Product Groups on strategy alignment and tactical planning.
- Provides routine territory feedback/updates to the Sales Management Team.
- Assists Product Groups with follow-up activities, problem resolution, and application inquiries.
- Acts as a liaison between customers and factory, communicating customer inputs to support Marketing and Engineering efforts.
- Attends trade shows and local conferences in assigned territory.
Qualifications
- Four-year degree or equivalent specialized training.
- Minimum of three years of experience in the sensor and instrumentation field.
- Demonstrated success in growing revenue in an assigned territory.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Territory Details
- Southern California and Washington.
- Remote role with 25%-35% travel in territory.
- Preference for candidates based in southern California or Phoenix, AZ, with ability to work a hybrid schedule when not traveling.
Pay
Annual base compensation range: $80,000 - $120,000. On Target Earnings (OTE) with sales commission plan: $165k annually, uncapped.

Physical Demands

International Traffic in Arms Regulations
This position requires access to “controlled technology” as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. 730 et. seq.) and “technical data” as defined in the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (22 C.F.R, Chapter 1, Subchapter M). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work.
