Design, installation, integration, and maintenance of HVAC, Controls, & Security Solutions

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with building owners, contractors, and consulting engineers
  • Identify project opportunities for building automation, controls upgrades, and system retrofits
  • Aid in developing scopes of work, budgets, and proposals
  • Review plans and specifications to support estimating efforts
  • Conduct site walks and gather technical information for solution development
  • Present system recommendations and explain technical concepts clearly to customers
  • Work closely with operations teams to ensure smooth project handoff after award
  • Maintain and grow an active sales pipeline

Requirements

  • 2–5+ years of experience in Building Automation, HVAC controls, or mechanical systems
  • Working knowledge of BAS platforms and HVAC system operation
  • Ability to read blueprints, control drawings, and specifications
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working both independently and with a team

Preferred Requirements

  • Desire to transition into or grow within a technical sales position
  • Interest in hearing more about the role

About the Role

We are seeking a Building Automation Sales Engineer to support the growth of a regional building controls and energy solutions provider. This role is ideal for someone with a BAS or HVAC controls background who enjoys working with customers and wants to transition into or grow within a technical sales position. You’ll combine your field knowledge with consultative sales skills to develop solutions for commercial and institutional facilities.
