Sales Engineer (Gemflex)

About the role
The Sales Engineer is responsible for driving growth, expanding market share, and developing new business for Gemflex fire protection products throughout the nation. This role combines technical expertise with strategic sales execution, working closely with engineers, contractors, distributors, and end users to promote Gemflex solutions and ensure successful adoption in fire protection applications.
Responsibilities
- Expand market share and achieve sales targets for the Gemflex product line within the assigned territory.
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities with owners, engineering firms, contractors, and other key stakeholders.
- Promote the full Gemflex Product Catalog and drive product acceptance and specification across the nation.
- Present Gemflex solutions to engineering offices, design consultants, and contractors to influence specifications and project designs.
- Conduct technical seminars, product demonstrations, and training sessions to ensure proper understanding and usage of Gemflex products.
- Provide technical support and guidance throughout the design, selection, and installation phases.
- Maintain a structured weekly reporting process, including activity updates, market intelligence, competitive insights, and progress.
- Develop and execute territory sales plans aligned with company goals.
- Coordinate with internal sales colleagues to ensure consistent messaging and strategic alignment across the nation.
- Build strong relationships with local Gemflex distributors, ensuring they have current product information, pricing, and sales tools.
- Support distributors with joint sales calls, training, and project pursuit strategies.
- Visit job sites to monitor installation practices, provide field training when needed, and ensure proper product application.
- Assist in collaboration with Brecco’s Engineering Department.
- Provide feedback from the field to support continuous product improvement and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- Strong technical aptitude and familiarity with piping systems, fire protection products, or mechanical components.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to travel (up to 50% of the time) across the nation.
- Professional, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
Qualifications
- Experience in fire protection, mechanical piping, or construction industries.
- Knowledge of grooved piping systems, fire codes, and industry standards (NFPA, UL/FM).
- Prior experience working with engineering firms, contractors, or distribution networks.

Pay
$120,000-160,000/year
