About the role

Aquant is transforming how service organizations leverage AI to drive smarter decisions and better outcomes. We are seeking a Sales Engineer who will partner closely with our sales team to drive enterprise deals for Aquant.ai. This role requires strong technical skills and the ability to engage with senior technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Account Executives to drive technical strategy and solution design across the full sales cycle
  • Lead technical discovery sessions to uncover customer requirements, data environments, and constraints
  • Design and position solutions that align Aquant’s capabilities with customer business and technical goals
  • Lead high-stakes technical engagements, delivering demos and presentations that secure executive buy-in
  • Translate AI/ML concepts, data pipelines, and platform architecture into clear, business-relevant messaging for both technical and executive audiences
  • Build credibility with CIOs and senior stakeholders by confidently addressing complex technical questions
  • Articulate system architecture, data flows, security, deployment models, and integration approaches (APIs, CRM, FSM, ERP systems)
  • Drive technical validation through POCs, pilots, and evaluations, ensuring customers understand implementation considerations and expected outcomes
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the sales process
  • Partner with product and engineering teams to address advanced requirements and edge cases
  • Provide structured feedback from the field to inform product development and refine messaging and positioning

Requirements

  • Experience 5+ years in a Sales Engineer / Solutions Engineer / Pre-Sales role
  • Experience selling complex AI or SaaS/analytics platforms to enterprise customers
  • Proven ability to engage with senior technical stakeholders (CIO, CTO, enterprise architects)
  • Strong understanding of modern data architectures (data lakes, pipelines, ETL, APIs)
  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and the ability to explain them without jargon
  • Experience with enterprise systems such as Salesforce, ServiceNow, or other FSM/ERP platforms
  • Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and enterprise security considerations
  • Exceptional ability to translate technical detail into business value
  • Confident presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Comfortable handling objections and thinking on your feet in high-stakes conversations
  • Customer-first and solutions-oriented
  • Collaborative and comfortable working cross-functionally
  • Curious, adaptable, and excited about AI-driven products
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools to build custom demonstrations

Qualifications

  • Nice to have: Experience in service operations, field service management, or industrial/service organizations
  • Background in data science, analytics, or AI-driven applications
  • Experience with POCs, pilots, or enterprise implementation discussions
