About the Role

RENK is seeking an Industrial Sales Engineer responsible for pursuing opportunities in the Industrial High Speed (power generation and oil & gas) gearbox and couplings market. This position involves building relationships with potential and current clients while developing strategies to increase revenue and market share.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and industry stakeholders aligned with RENK objectives.
  • Actively lead your own developed market, including Requests for Information/Proposal.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, opportunities, and the competitive landscape.
  • Develop new accounts and maintain existing accounts by establishing personal working relationships with key customer decision-makers based on value, knowledge, trust, and character.
  • Support lead generation, pursuit process, and contract negotiations with new clients.
  • Develop and lead campaigns to secure RENK’s aftermarket potential in the US.
  • Work closely with customers to understand their most urgent needs and develop pursuit strategies to address them.
  • Seek opportunities to participate in and support networking events.
  • Develop and maintain a high-level understanding of national market, client, and technology trends and advancements.
  • Maintain competitive intelligence and market information on industrial gearbox technologies, designs, and other aspects of the power generation and oil & gas industry.
  • Attend industry events, research industry trends, and communicate critical information on market trends back to management and the RENK Group team.
  • Responsible for meeting order intake and margin targets.
  • Support engagement with decision-makers to acquire R&D funds for efforts that support the international strategy.
  • Maintain close working relationships with other corporate areas: Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Finance.
  • Prepare and present formal presentations to end users and customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, and/or a technical field with 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • Master’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, and/or a technical field with 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency working with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Windows-based PC tools.

Qualifications

  • A strong passion and interest in the high-speed and couplings gearbox industry.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter able to communicate effectively with all levels of customers, coworkers, and senior executive management.
  • Tenacious drive for results within a solutions mindset that seeks to deeply understand the customer and customer needs and apply innovative thinking to solve problems and capture opportunities.
  • Ability to forge teams, partnerships, and alliances to win acquisitions.
  • Ability to quickly acquire knowledge of RENK Group products, services, and applications.
  • Possess strong interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple accounts at one time.
  • Ability to travel up to 60%.
  • Driver’s license for business travel.
  • Deep customer knowledge and familiarity with the market environment.
  • Experience in business development within the high-speed gearbox market environment with demonstrated performance winning new business.
  • Must have existing relationships with oil & gas and power generation personnel.
