Key Responsibilities

  • Serve the customer’s needs through prompt, thorough and professional service.
  • Support the company’s sales efforts in both construction and service. Work directly with sales department personnel to develop projects, project design/drawings, cost estimates, and proposal letters for presentation to customers.
  • Congduct site visits to assess client needs and propose appropriate refrigeration solutions.
  • Utilize the Kelvin Estimating Template or current estimating platform for all cost estimating. Adhere to all Deal Desk/Deal Scoring criteria set forth by Kelvin Group.
  • Utilize Salesforce (CRM) software in a disciplined manner to enable Kelvin-wide visibility of sales performance.
  • Participate and attend the Sales Meetings, seminars or training sessions as directed by RD&S management.
  • Achieve sales targets and contribute to overall business growth.

Requirements

  • Must have a mechanical engineering degree or equivalent.
  • A Professional Engineering certification (PE) or EIT certification is a plus.
  • Strong technical and mechanical knowledge of industrial or commercial refrigeration systems, including ammonia, freon, or CO2 systems.
  • Problem solving skills to identify client refrigeration issues and convert them into sales opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Ability to build and maintain business relationships with clients.
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and complete work while traveling.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software applications.
  • Experience with AutoCAD.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • The Industrial Refrigeration Sales Engineer will be responsible for driving new business opportunities and maintaining relationships with existing clients within the food and beverage industry.
  • This is a client-facing role that requires a strong understanding of industrial refrigeration systems, market trends, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical decision-makers.
  • The position reports directly to the VP of Sales.
