Sales Engineer
About the role
Responsible for managing commercial topics related to assigned customer accounts—Nissan (filtration), Mazda, Subaru, and Hyundai—with respect to filtration, air intake system, air intake manifold, carbon canister, and oil coolers for the light vehicle industry.
Develop a customer strategy that identifies new business opportunities, positions the company to win new business, and exercises leadership in the execution of the strategy. Act as the focal point for all commercial discussions and negotiations. Coordinate activities with Program Managers if a pending milestone might be missed to establish a “get well” plan and notify the customer.
Manage the overall relationship between MAHLE North America and Nissan (filtration), Mazda, Subaru, and Hyundai by cultivating relationships with key stakeholders across sales and application engineering functions to ensure complete and successful account management.
Responsible for negotiating long-term contracts, new production pricing, warranty terms and conditions, prototype prices, and successfully winning new business. Handle new project quotations and negotiations, including price proposals and timeline negotiations between MAHLE Engineering Teams, R&D Groups, and Production operations in the USA and Mexico.
Exercise leadership in executing the business sales strategy and act as the focal point for all commercial discussions and negotiations. Manage the timely quotation of new business by internally driving the quote process, including PAC project approval reviews, initiation of SOF sales opportunities forms, and subsequent updates to information.

Requirements
- Commercial account management experience.
- Automotive industry experience.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts with in-depth knowledge of contract negotiations and product development.
