Lead the growth and success of our Grinding and Dispersing business across the region as a strategic leadership role. You will drive sales expansion, build strong customer partnerships, and inspire a high-performing sales team to achieve ambitious business goals. Responsibilities
- Leadership development: recruit, train, develop, and retain high talent within the sales teams.
- Foster and manage relationships with customers and key accounts with the sales team.
- Responsible for meeting department productivity and quality goals.
- Resolve customer issues and improve customer satisfaction.
- Communicate and participate in solving problems related to sales and growth of the North America region.
- Be the beacon of Bühler culture; lead through example to inspire and motivate employees.
- Drive business growth and exceed business targets.
- Develop and expand the customer base for current and future business within the Grinding and Dispersing business area.
- Continuously refresh and update product knowledge.
- Attend and participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and industry associations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent.
- 8-10+ years of managing and sales experience, preferably in a capital equipment manufacturing environment on an international level.
- Demonstrates leadership as an effective role model for the department in tasks both internal and external to the company.
- Sufficient technical knowledge of products to be sold.
- Excellent communication skills and relationship-building skills to effectively work with a variety of people and personalities.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and make decisions independently, effectively, and creatively within established company guidelines.
- Strong organizational skills and an ability to plan, prioritize, coordinate, delegate, and manage work simultaneously.
- Understands the confidential nature of organizational and employee information and observes confidentiality.
- Works as a proactive team player with an ownership approach to work; understands the importance of supporting the company, its members, and their customers.
- Ability to identify, evaluate, problem-solve, and give direction regarding problem resolutions for individual and company issues at strategic and functional levels.
- Maintains discipline, recommending and administering corrective action according to company policy and procedures.
- Speaks and understands English.
- Domestic and international travel 30-50% of the time, which may include long hours and non-traditional work schedules.
