Overview
The Director of Sales role is available in Houston, TX, offering a hybrid work schedule. This full-time leadership position will oversee revenue growth across advertising, brand partnerships, and content distribution channels.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement go-to-market strategies that accelerate advertising revenue, sponsorship sales, and branded content partnerships.
- Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing sales team based in Houston.
- Establish and monitor performance metrics across pipeline management, forecasting accuracy, CPM optimization, and revenue growth.
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with major brands, media buyers, agencies, and distribution partners.
- Collaborate closely with content, marketing, production, and executive leadership to align revenue strategy with programming and audience growth.
- Negotiate complex advertising agreements, sponsorship packages, licensing deals, and long-term partnership contracts.
- Represent the company at industry events, media conferences, screenings, and networking engagements to elevate brand visibility.
Requirements
- 8-12 years of progressive sales experience, with at least 4 years in a senior leadership role within media, advertising, entertainment, or digital platforms.
- Prominent track record of driving multimillion-dollar revenue growth across advertising sales, sponsorships, branded content, or media distribution.
- Strong relationships within the Houston media and agency ecosystem.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a hands-on approach to scaling revenue in a fast-paced creative environment.
- Experience building cross-functional partnerships across content, marketing, and executive teams.
- Deep understanding of media sales cycles, pricing strategy, CPM/CPC models, and revenue forecasting.
- Strong negotiation and executive communication skills.
- Proficiency in CRM and forecasting tools (Salesforce preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field (MBA preferred).
