About the role
The role is based remotely and involves being the first point of contact for innovative teams, identifying opportunities, generating leads, and working closely with Account Executives. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where your work directly influences the scaling of the Customer Intelligence Platform.
Responsibilities
- Be a founding member of the SDR team.
- Support the design, tooling, and playbook development for new sales development motion.
- Own top-of-funnel pipeline generation.
- Proactively identify, research, and engage prospects across the total addressable market.
- Partner cross-functionally with Marketing and Sales.
- Consult and educate through a consultative lens, asking thoughtful questions and articulating the impact of adopting an AI-first insights platform.
- Leverage AI and data tools like HubSpot, Clay, Mixmax, and Sales Navigator.
- Develop the blueprint for scale by documenting repeatable outreach processes, A/B testing messaging, and sharing learnings.
- Qualify and hand off leads to ensure contextual insight is shared for seamless transition through the pipeline.
- Represent Dovetail with empathy and curiosity, ensuring every interaction reflects the company's customer-obsessed culture.
Requirements
- Experience in outbound prospecting, especially in B2B SaaS, in early-stage/scale-up companies, or targeting product, design, or research personas.
- Enterprise-awareness, understanding of how mid-market and enterprise organizations make purchase decisions.
- Multi-threaded outreach execution, using personalized, high-quality outreach across email, phone, social, and video.
- Tech stack fluency in CRMs (HubSpot or Salesforce), prospecting tools (Sales Navigator, Clay, Apollo), and sequence builders (Mixmax, Outreach).
- An analytical and operational mindset, using data to guide decisions and optimize workflow.
- Clear communication skills, writing and speaking with clarity, empathy, and precision.
- A high agency and growth mindset, comfortable in ambiguity, proactive in problem-solving, and seeing opportunity in constraints.
- Passion for product and customers, curious about the research, product development, and design landscape, and interested in helping teams make smarter, customer-centric decisions.
Qualifications
- Experience in SDR or BDR roles, preferably in early-stage/scale-up companies.
- Familiarity with AI and data tools, and their application in SaaS environments.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
