About the role

A Sales Development Representative is responsible for qualifying leads at the initial stages in the sales funnel. You will make outbound calls and handle all related inquiries with a focus on engaging and qualifying all prospective clients. This role will report to the SDR Team Lead.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate contact with potential customers primarily by phone or responding to inquiries
  • Moves leads through the sales funnel and connects them to the appropriate salesperson
  • Performs regular follow-up calls or emails to potential clients
  • Attends frequent trainings to learn proven sales strategies and concepts to increase sales
  • Effectively meets or exceeds assigned performance metrics and key expectations

Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in a sales-driven, telesales or customer service environment
  • Experience making outbound calls to potential clients or customers
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a team but also work independently
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle and overcome objections

Pay

The budgeted annual base salary for this position is $45,000. Actual annual salary will be determined based on qualifications, skills, experience, and level assessed during the hiring process and may fall outside of the rate shown. This role qualifies for additional compensation through a performance-based incentive plan. The On-Target Earnings (OTE), which includes the base rate plus target bonus performance at 100% attainment, is $60,000 annually. Please note that incentive compensation is not guaranteed and is dependent on achieving defined performance metrics.
