The Role
SimpliGov is seeking to hire a Sales Development Representative (SDR) responsible for prospecting and generating qualified outbound leads for our Sales Executives. The ideal candidate is results driven, possesses strong and natural sales talents, and is committed to creating new business opportunities. This position is an entry-level role within the Sales team and reports to the Senior Manager, Sales Development.
What You'll Actually Do
- Build target account lists with real context.
- Understand the operational problem before you pick up the phone.
- Develop a thorough knowledge of the SimpliGov platform, and value proposition.
- Deploy workflows in Gong and Salesforce.
- Measure conversion at each stage.
- Change what doesn't work. Iterate.
- Maintain a sufficient volume of outbound activities to achieve or exceed your monthly quota of scheduled meetings and qualified opportunities.
- Qualify prospects on initial conversation.
- Surface real pain.
- Understand procurement.
- Hand off qualified ops to our RSD team.
- Share what you learn from conversations with our sales leadership.
- Help shape messaging.
Who We're Looking For
- Go-getters with 1-2+ years of SDR or outbound sales development experience.
- You're competitive.
- You know your numbers.
- You test ideas and iterate.
- Proven experience in generating 80%+ of opportunities through cold outbound prospecting.
- Bachelor's Degree or relevant working experience.
- You're not satisfied with 'following the process.' You own your pipeline and take initiative on what works.
- You're comfortable operating independently inside a clear framework.
- Comfortable, confident & professional in contacting potential customers.
- Prior experience using Salesforce, Gong, Starbridge, etc. (or other Sales automation/intent and CRM systems).
- Outstanding written, verbal & presentation skills.
- Must be located in the U.S.

Qualifications
- 1-2 years of SDR or outbound sales development experience.
- Experience with Salesforce, email outreach tools, and CRM systems preferred.
- Hightly motivated, self-starting individual who takes initiative on prospecting.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be located in the U.S.

SimpliGov does not currently sponsor applicants for work visas. The US base salary range for this full-time position begins at $60,000 + bonus + benefits. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
