Sales Development Representative

Noonlight · Austin, TX · 1 mo ago
HybridBusiness DevelopmentFull-time

We are looking for a highly motivated, self-directed Sales Development Representative to help accelerate Noonlight's growth. The mission is to fill the top of the sales funnel with quality opportunities, and do it with urgency, consistency, and hunger. This is an opportunity for someone who thrives in a high-autonomy, high-accountability environment and enjoys building, not just executing.

About the Role

You'll be responsible for generating qualified pipeline through a combination of inbound lead qualification, strategic outbound prospecting, and thoughtful account research across key industries including IoT, commercial and residential security, healthcare, and smart home technology. The ideal candidate takes ownership of their results, is naturally curious, and is motivated to continuously improve their craft. You'll work closely with Account Executives, Marketing, and Customer Success to refine messaging, identify new opportunities, and help shape the future of Noonlight's go-to-market strategy.

Responsibilities

  • New Business Development: Develop a strong pipeline through outbound prospecting, inbound sales qualification, and social selling. Collaborate with account executives and marketing to craft effective outbound messaging.
  • Account Research & Personalization: Research target accounts and buying personas to deliver personalized outreach that resonates with executive decision-makers.
  • Meeting Qualification: Conduct discovery conversations that qualify opportunities against Noonlight's ideal customer profile before handing them to Account Executives.
  • Sales Collaboration: Partner with Account Executives and Marketing to refine messaging, improve outbound campaigns, and share market feedback that strengthens Noonlight's go-to-market strategy.
  • CRM Excellence: Maintain accurate CRM data and activity while ensuring every prospect interaction is documented and actionable.
  • Product Knowledge: Demonstrate a thorough understanding of Noonlight's platform, integrations, and use cases. Work closely with account executives and product teams to address technical requirements that generate high-quality pipeline in the deal funnel.
  • Quota Achievement: Consistently meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual pipeline generation targets.

What Defines Success at Noonlight

At Noonlight, we're passionate about creating a culture where innovation, collaboration, and a positive attitude thrive. As a growing startup, we believe that every team member plays a critical role in shaping our future. The ideal candidate will:

  • Extreme Ownership: Take responsibility for your pipeline, your activity, and your results. Identify problems, propose solutions, and follow through. When something isn't working, your first instinct is to ask, "What can I own and improve?"
  • Self-Directed Execution: Prioritize your work effectively, manage competing priorities, and consistently execute without daily direction. Build structure into your day and hold yourself accountable for the activities that drive results.
  • Continuous Improvement: Be naturally curious. Look for ways to improve messaging, prospecting strategies, qualification processes, and CRM workflows. Rather than simply executing a process, you're motivated to make the process better.
  • Resilience: Recognize that prospecting comes with rejection. Learn from each interaction, maintain a positive attitude, and consistently show up with energy and professionalism.
  • Coachability: Proactively seek out feedback and apply coaching immediately. Continuously develop new skills.
  • Builder Mentality: As an early member of a growing go-to-market team, help improve prospecting strategies, messaging, qualification processes, and sales playbooks. Leave processes better than you found them.
  • Team First: Share wins, learn from losses, and help teammates succeed. Contribute ideas that improve the entire sales organization.

Requirements

  • 6 months to 1 year of B2B SDR experience, preferably in SaaS, Technology, or IoT industries.
  • Execute consistent outbound prospecting through cold calls, personalized emails, and social engagement to generate qualified pipeline and create new business opportunities.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales qualified meeting quotas in a consultative selling environment.
  • Familiarity with consultative or solution-based selling methodologies and a desire to continuously improve your sales skills.
  • Experience researching buying committees and engaging multiple personas within target accounts through personalized outreach.
  • Familiarity with safety, security, or IoT industries is a plus but not required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to executive-level audiences.
  • Experience using modern sales tools such as HubSpot, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Gong, or similar platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Benefits

  • Competitive base salary with commission and performance bonuses.
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Health Savings Account (HSA) with a company contribution.
  • 401(k) with an employer match.
  • Paid vacation that increases with tenure, paid holidays, wellness time, and paid maternity and bonding leave.
  • Company-paid disability and life insurance.
  • Remote work flexibility and a collaborative, mission-driven team environment.
  • Opportunities for career growth, development, and promotion in a fast-growing tech company.

Sponsorship of new applicants for employment authorization or other immigration-related support is not available for this position.
