Sales Development Representative 🚀
About the role
We are looking for a motivated and ambitious Sales Development Representative to help build the future of health insurance at Healia. As an SDR, you will be on the front lines of our go-to-market engine, generating pipeline, engaging prospective customers, and creating the first impression many brokers and employers will have of Healia.
Responsibilities
- Execute high quality outbound outreach through phone, email, LinkedIn, and other prospecting tools to generate new conversations and qualified sales opportunities.
- Engage executives and benefits leaders in thoughtful, professional conversations to understand their needs and determine whether Healia’s Total Care Option is a fit.
- Work closely with our Account Executives to hand off qualified opportunities, coordinate outreach across target accounts, and support ongoing pursuits.
- Maintain accurate activity logs and prospect data in HubSpot. Follow and refine SDR processes that create consistent and predictable pipeline generation.
- Develop a strong working knowledge of Healia’s product, the employer benefits landscape, and how our solution creates value for brokers, employers, and families.
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly outreach and qualified meeting targets. Contribute ideas, messaging, and experimentation that improve team performance.
Requirements
- Have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- Bring 0 to 2 years of experience in sales, lead generation, or customer facing roles (new college grads welcome and encouraged to apply!).
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Be motivated, resilient, and energized by hitting targets.
- Manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-moving environment.
- Be detail oriented with strong organizational habits.
- Thrive in a startup setting where processes evolve quickly and ownership is shared.
Qualifications
- Prior experience at a startup
- Prior experience in the healthcare or insurance industry
- Prior experience with Hubspot or other CRM platforms
- Prior experience with outbound sales tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator or Seamless
