Sales Development Representative
About the role
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) will make outbound calls to potential clients who have expressed interest in learning more about Docusign or appear to be strong potential customers based upon our general market focus. The SDR qualifies prospective customers through targeted questions about their business strategy then leverages this information to align and sell Docusign’s product offerings.
Responsibilities
- Make outbound calls to prospects who have expressed interest in learning more about Docusign
- Make outbound calls to prospects who are deemed to reside in one of Docusign’s core vertical markets
- Share information about Docusign and ask questions about the prospect's business intentions
- Discern propensity to buy and forward good potential leads to the Sales Account Executives to pursue
- Schedule appointments between prospects and Account Executives
- Record prospect information in CRM database
Requirements
This position spends roughly 80% of the time on the phone prospecting new clients. Sales Development Reps will receive hands-on training with an emphasis on strategic selling and a focus on researching targeted accounts. This position is a great way for individuals to gain in depth experience in a rapidly growing SaaS company. This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Manager, SDR.
Qualifications
- A university degree or relevant tertiary qualification
- Prior experience working in sales

Pay
Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:
- California: $23.40/hour - $31.95/hour
- Illinois, Colorado, Massachusetts and Minnesota: $22.20/hour - $28.20/hour
- Washington, Maryland, New Jersey and New York (including NYC metro area): $22.20/hour - $30.38/hour
Schedule
This Role Is Also Eligible For The Following Bonus: Sales personnel are eligible for variable incentive pay dependent on their achievement of pre-established sales goals. Non-Sales roles are eligible for a company bonus plan, which is calculated as a percentage of eligible wages and dependent on company performance.
