Sales Development Representative
About the role
As a Sales Development Representative at Ascentek, you will play a crucial role in identifying, qualifying, and nurturing early-stage sales opportunities that fuel pipeline growth across Ascentek's multiple organizations. This role bridges Marketing and Sales, ensuring a consistent flow of quality prospects.
Responsibilities
- Possess strong written/verbal communication skills and a high comfort level with outreach activity (cold calling, emailing, social selling).
- Research organizations and map complex buying groups, demonstrating advanced prospecting and targeting skills using tools like Salesforce, Seamless AI, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
- Generate the first set of qualified leads for Sales, becoming a subject matter expert in Seamless.AI.
- Show reliability in CRM (Salesforce) pipeline logging and demonstrate understanding of Ascentek’s product portfolio and value propositions.
- Manage customer engagement/entertainment investments, such as sports event ticket coordination, and participate in Hook N’ Horn events to support sales and program development.
- Support sales activities related to the Hook N’ Horn, our world-class fly-in resort, by identifying the best core customers and prospects eligible for investments.
- Handle high-volume task flows with time management and organizational skills, maintaining CRM hygiene and follow-through.
- Collaborate with Sales Support to refine prospecting targeting and messaging, and share insights with Marketing.
- Participate in tradeshow coordination, including show hunting, booking, and managing planning timelines and logistics, while coordinating with Sales on event execution and follow-through.
- Drive post-show follow-through by collecting after-action reports, ensuring all leads are logged and assigned in Salesforce, and confirming timely Sales follow-up on every qualified contact.
- Attend shows periodically to gain market and prospect knowledge.
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of work experience in inside sales or a sales function, preferably in the petro-chemical industry. Proven CRM discipline (updating records, tracking activity, managing pipeline stages) and ability to generate pipeline (not just support it) are essential. Advanced prospecting and targeting skills utilizing tools like Salesforce, Seamless AI, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator are required.
Qualifications
Proven ability to generate pipeline (not just support it) and hands-on CRM discipline are key. Demonstrated understanding of Ascentek’s product portfolio and value propositions is necessary. Experience in inside sales or a sales function in the petro-chemical industry is preferred. A growth mindset with a track record of initiative, continuous improvement, and contributing to team and company success is valued.

Pay
The anticipated hiring range for the role is between $65,000 and $70,000 annually. This range is based on several factors, including experience and qualifications, education and certifications, market and industry benchmarks, and internal equity.
Schedule
This is a Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM position.
