About the role
Tutored by Teachers (TbT) is dedicated to closing opportunity gaps in education through high-impact tutoring. We partner with schools and districts to provide teacher-led instruction and are seeking a Hybrid Sales Development & Ground Support Associate to help us achieve our mission.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a key liaison between schools and our Engagement Management team
- Be a friendly face and strong support for school staff
- Absorb students with logging into TbT's tutoring platform
- Assist with troubleshooting basic tech issues such as with Chromebooks, iPads, and connectivity
- Ensure classroom technology is functional and ready for tutoring sessions
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support daily operations
- Maintain session quality and report any classroom or tech challenges
- Research leads and initiate outreach to schools, districts, and charter networks
- Educate potential customers about our programs and value proposition
- Track activities in Salesforce (or similar CRM) and maintain accurate sales data
- Share insights and feedback with the sales team to improve messaging and outreach strategies
- Build relationships with education leaders in Louisiana (e.g., superintendents, principals, etc.)
- Coordinate and drive events for key Louisiana stakeholders (e.g., dinners, lunches, sporting events, etc.)
Requirements
- Experience as a classroom teacher or working directly in schools
- Passion for educational equity and student outcomes
- Tech-savvy and comfortable with Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams
- Confidence in making cold calls and handling objections professionally
- Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
- High emotional intelligence and strong communication skills
- Based in Louisiana, willing to travel within the state, and able to commute to schools during normal school hours
Bonus points
- Previous SDR, inside sales, or business development experience
- Familiarity with K-12 school systems and district decision-making processes
- Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM tools
- Being a founding team member or having worked in a startup or scrappy environment
- Bilingual abilities
