About the role

We’re growing our team and we’re excited to have you join us as a Sales Coordinator I. You’ll be part of a dynamic team where you’ll process customer purchase orders, coordinate shipments, and provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Process customer purchase orders and coordinate product shipments.
  • Manage open orders for multiple customer accounts.
  • Review purchase orders and related documents for compliance.
  • Track material status and confirm product conformance to specifications.
  • Communicate with carriers and forwarders regarding customer shipments.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary and customer information.
  • Support the sales team in achieving targets through follow-up and organization.
  • Collaborate with various departments to facilitate sales operations.
  • Research customer open orders against available credit.
  • Provide general support to Sales Operations staff.
  • Occasionally travel for training and site visits.

Qualifications

  • Possess a strong attention to detail and proficiency in data entry and management using ERP software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Show strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Have strong problem-solving skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be able to self-motivate, take initiative, and maintain focus.
  • Build customer reliance by providing accurate information and support.
  • Develop close working relationships with external and internal customers.
  • Have knowledge of sales department techniques and familiarity with compliance policies and regulations.

Skills

  • Proficiency in data entry and management using ERP software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to self-motivate, take initiative, and maintain focus.
  • Experience in customer service and sales support roles.
  • Knowledge of sales coordination processes and techniques.
  • General computer experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
