About the role
We’re growing our team and we’re excited to have you join us as a Sales Coordinator I. You’ll be part of a dynamic team where you’ll process customer purchase orders, coordinate shipments, and provide excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Process customer purchase orders and coordinate product shipments.
- Manage open orders for multiple customer accounts.
- Review purchase orders and related documents for compliance.
- Track material status and confirm product conformance to specifications.
- Communicate with carriers and forwarders regarding customer shipments.
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary and customer information.
- Support the sales team in achieving targets through follow-up and organization.
- Collaborate with various departments to facilitate sales operations.
- Research customer open orders against available credit.
- Provide general support to Sales Operations staff.
- Occasionally travel for training and site visits.
Qualifications
- Possess a strong attention to detail and proficiency in data entry and management using ERP software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Show strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Have strong problem-solving skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Be able to self-motivate, take initiative, and maintain focus.
- Build customer reliance by providing accurate information and support.
- Develop close working relationships with external and internal customers.
- Have knowledge of sales department techniques and familiarity with compliance policies and regulations.
Skills
- Proficiency in data entry and management using ERP software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to self-motivate, take initiative, and maintain focus.
- Experience in customer service and sales support roles.
- Knowledge of sales coordination processes and techniques.
- General computer experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
