Responsibilities
- Screens and traffics all inquiries into the sales office
- Prepares and distributes timely proposals, contracts, resumes, and Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) for catering and/or sales department, working closely with the DOS/DOC to meet hotel/guest needs
- Prints GRC’s and sales reports for Sales and Staff Meetings
- Presents and proposes rates for wedding blocks and social groups with DOS/DOC supervision and approval
- Establishes and maintains strong relationships with all assigned accounts, including making daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance calls
- Provides “day of event support,” including meet & greet clients, supporting operational efforts with catering and/or Sales Manager, and acting as the liaison between client and staff to communicate for a flawless execution
- Makes site tours to potential catering clients and weddings
- Connects with clients pre, during, and post events to address changes and billing issues
- Communicates effectively and continuously between group and staff to provide exceptional guest service to clients
- Attends weekly Staff and Sales meetings if needed
- Supports DOS/DOC on an annual marketing plan
- Prepares sales kits; creates or designs marketing flyers to promote business
- Fills out Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), Contracts, Proposals, and Credit Card Authorizations
- Assists in letter writing for Sales, Catering, and the GM
- Obtains in-depth knowledge of Delphi
Requirements
- Strong sales & relationship management skills
- Strong aptitude in working with numbers and comprehending Excel spreadsheets
- Keyboarding and general office administration skills
- C/I/TY experience or similar sales software needed
Qualifications
- Sales and/or hotel experience preferred
- High school diploma and/or equivalent work experience
- CI/TY a plus
Physical Demands
- Work is performed in a hotel environment
- This position requires extended periods of walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Frequent computer keying using both hands, and viewing material on a computer screen
- Working at a desk, viewing spreadsheets and other written material
- (PDC is physically demanding, requiring extended periods of walking and standing)
- Flexible work hours may require an occasional night or weekend
