Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Provide timely and courteous guest service consistent with the company's guest service culture
- Conserve the sales team's time by reading, researching, and routing correspondence; drafting letters and documents; maintaining merge documentation; collecting and analyzing information; and initiating telecommunications
- Review and present items requiring signatures to the Director of Sales, including but not limited to sales contracts, departmental invoicing, and budget items
- Complete weekly departmental forecast and production updates in a concise and timely manner
- Assist Sales Managers and/or Director of Sales with client site inspections; conduct site inspections independently when needed
- Retrieve, log, and distribute incoming sales leads from multiple sources
- Mediate communication between accounting, internal sales managers, and outside vendors regarding commission payments
- Quote room rates and terms, and make informed decisions regarding customer or hotel needs as directed
- Review all hotel sales contracts for accuracy, ensuring all terms (deposits due, rooming lists due, etc.) are correct and properly reflected in Delphi
- Input and maintain reminders in Delphi for coordinator and sales managers related to group follow-ups and actionable items
- Maintain confidentiality to protect customer and company information
- Maintain departmental procedures, recommend updates, and support SOP documentation and user training
- Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, if they apply to the position
- Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company's guest service culture standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 1 year of Sales experience in a hospitality environment preferred
- Demonstrated commitment to providing excellent guest service
- Strong communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment
- Committed to fostering a respectful, inclusive, and safety-conscious work environment
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word; familiarity with Delphi collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams
